  5. Before installing the software, you need to determine which of the Mac's 
  6. serial ports you should connect the PortDoubler to.  You should be able to make this decision from the information provided in the Chapter "Which port should I connect it to?".  On the Install disk you will notice three folders on the disk.  Each folder contains a different extension for a different installation.

  11. If you're connecting the PortDoubler to the Mac's modem port, open the folder named "Modem Port Install.  Drag the Icon below titled "Modem PortDoubler" onto your System folder.

  20. If you're connecting the PortDoubler to the Mac's printer port, open the folder named "Printer Port Install".  Drag the Icons below titled "Printer PortDoubler" and "PD Printers" onto your System folder.
